iPacesetters acquires Wisconsin-based The Charlton Group

iPacesetters, LLC, the global teleservices and BPO solutions company, announced that it has acquired substantially all of the assets of The Charlton Group, Inc. (Charlton). Charlton is a leading US-based contact center company focused primarily on the support of the cable industry. iPacesetters will continue to have its international headquarters in Mesa, Arizona and continue under the name iPacesetters, though it will also dba Charlton while it migrates its branding to iPacesetters.

Charlton is a Madison, Wisconsin based contact center company with offices in Monroe, White Water and Eau Clare, WI. It was recently ranked 24th largest global inbound/outbound service provider by TMC Magazine, also ranking 9th in domestic outbound and 13th in domestic inbound.

The acquisition of Charlton resources and its business continues the expansion of iPacesetters in the area of marketing solutions activities. Also, Charlton's clients will now have access to a broader capability set, including offshore capacity as appropriate.

iPacesetters has been in business for 27 years, with a historical focus on the publishing industry. Over the past year, the company has targeted a few other select vertical markets for expansion, including the cable market. The company is headquartered in Mesa, Arizona with offices in Mesa, Gurgaon, India and Bagio, Philippines. With the acquisition of Charlton they will now have offices in White Water, Monroe, Madison and Eau Clare, Wisconsin.

The company will continue its growth initiative, through both organic growth and strategic acquisitions, under the leadership of DeBiasi and Royal.

 

American Pacesetters acquires IQR to become iPacesetters

American Pacesetters Enterprises, the global teleservices and BPO Solutions Company, announced that it has acquired substantially all of the assets of IQ Resource Pvt. Ltd. (IQR), a leading Indian BPO company which supports US and UK customers.  The combined companies will now be called iPacesetters with its international headquarters located in Mesa, Arizona. 

Gerry DeBiasi, Chairman of American Pacesetters commented:  “We have worked with IQR as an outsourcing partner for over a year now and have been very impressed with their commitment to the customer and commitment to quality.  In addition to providing offshore capabilities, they bring to our combined company key capabilities that will allow us to offer our customers more of a ‘total solution’ to their BPO needs.”

IQR is an Indian based business processing outsourcer (BPO) with offices in Gurgaon India.  IQR support includes the trade publishing industry with telemarketing, email services, online forms and websites, and other outsourced audience development activities and provides market research and telesales to a variety of other customers. 

The acquisition of IQR’s resources & business continues the expansion of iPacesetters marketing solutions activities. Companies are increasingly shifting from internal support to outsourcing both on and off-shore and iPacesetters will now offer a combination of teleservices/sales, email/web/online services, and other BPO-related services on a global basis.

Royal Named New President of American Pacesetters

Mesa, Arizona, Frank Royal of Interlachen, Florida, has been named as the new president of American Pacesetters.  Royal who was previously the senior vice president of ICT Group global outsourcing based in Asia started in his new role on October 7, 2009. 

“We believe that Frank Royal has the proven ability to build on our current successes and broaden our company’s scope of business by adding new verticals,” said Gerry De Biasi, chairman of American Pacesetters and principal at Kidd & Company.   Importantly, he brings to the company experience and understanding of the global outsourcing market. This experience, coupled with his unique combination of professional and personal strengths makes him extremely well-qualified to lead our organization.”

 “Being asked to serve as the company’s president is both an honor and a privilege,” said Royal. “I look forward to the opportunity to contribute to the American Pacesetter’s team and the success of the past.” 

Royal’s background has uniquely prepared him for the task of running a global outsourcing company.  He started his call center career nearly 20 years ago as a customer service agent for AT&T.  He worked his way up the call center and BPO ladder working for several large BPO and telecommunications companies with progressive expansion of his scope of duties and responsibilities. 

Royal joined Convergys Corporation in 1995.  During his tenure there, he was able to grow a portfolio from a 7.2 million dollar business to an organization with revenues of over 36 Million dollars in three and a half years. 

Most recently Royal was the senior vice president of ICT Group based in Manila, Philippines.  In the nearly three years in his off-shore post he was responsible for launching two large BPO sites and managed a work force of 3,500 employees.  While in this post he was awarded the CEO’s leadership award for his work in improving productivity, reducing cost and building a growing revenue stream. 

Including his experience in the Philippines, Royal managed organizations based in Jamaica, Argentina, Canada and the US and has additionally supported business in India, Costa Rica and Mexico. 

Royal is making Arizona his home with his wife and two daughters.  “I look forward to becoming an active, member of the Greater Phoenix community,” he said. “My career has taken me across the US and the World and it will be exciting for my family and me to finally put down roots in the Phoenix community”, said Royal.
